Wolf Trap Opera has the following seasonal position available for 2012:

Administrative Fellowship – Community Development

Position Summary: The Community Development Fellow serves as point-of-contact for Wolf Trap Opera Company with the Development and Marketing Departments of the overarching Foundation. Strong interpersonal and writing skills are necessary, as is a strong knowledge of the larger opera community and Wolf Trap Opera’s particular niche therein.

Position dates: May 21-August 17, 2012

Key Duties:

  • Create The ROSTER, Wolf Trap Opera’s newsletter
  • Maintain the Opera Insider list, a weekly email communication
  • Plan and supervise Behind the Curtain, a family outreach event
  • Plan and supervise Vocal Colors, a recital project in conjunction with the Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C.
  • Assist with planning speakers for Periodic Table seminars and Backstage Buzz panels.
  • With the head of Music Staff, plan and notify Foundation staff about weekly Little Lunch Music performances.
  • Work with Development to connect with patrons and potential patrons at WTOC performances.
