In two locations and three live programs, Filene Young Artists respond to visual art from The Phillips Collection with a personal, multimedia musical exploration that bridges musical genres and styles as inspiration beckons.

There will be two midday concerts at the Center for Education at Wolf Trap – at 1:00 pm on Thursdays July 8 & July 22. The Vocal Colors series will end with a 6:30 pm concert on July 22 at The Phillips Collection in northwest Washington DC.
Last year’s concerts featured the artwork of Monet, Chagall, Cézanne, Lawrence, Degas, Hopper, and Renoir paired with music by DuParc, Ives, Copland, Tchaikovsky, Elton John and Fiona Apple. This year’s series will feature Filene Young Artists Aslyn Rust, Ryan Belongie, Eve Gigliotti and Kenneth Kellogg, with WTOC pianists Jeremy Frank and Michael Baitzer.
